Surendra Arjoon is a Professor of Business & Professional Ethics, Department of Management Studies, The University of the West Indies (UWI), St Augustine Campus, with a PhD in Business Ethics (Corporate Governance & Ethical Decision-Making). He served as Head, Department of Management Studies (2011-2014, 2002-2005) and Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Social Sciences (1996-2002, 2015-present). In 2015, he received the UWI Vice-Chancellor’s Award for All-round Excellence Performance for his Teaching & Research accomplishments. In 2012, he was the recipient of the UWI/Guardian Life Premium Teaching Award. He also served as the Vice-President of the Trinidad & Tobago Economics Association (2000-2010). He is currently serving as a member of the Salaries Review Commission and the Central Bank of Trinidad & Tobago. He is internationally recognized as one of the leading authors in Business Ethics with over 750 citations of his work.

- The application of natural law ethics to education, business and the economy.
- Specific areas include: Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility and Reporting, Nature and Purpose of Business, Socio-Ethical Economy, professional and applied ethics.
