International Meeting of
Economists on Globalization and Development Problems, January
29th-February 2nd, 2001
The
3rd International Meeting of Economists on Globalization and Development
Problems will be held in La Habana, Cuba, from January 29 to February 2,
2001. The event is sponsored by the National Association of Economists
of Latin America and the Caribbean (AEALC) and the National Association
of Cuban Economists (ANEC). It will gather over 1,000 delegates from
developing countries and international organizations. Registration for

Call for Papers: 26th Annual CSA
Conference
The Caribbean Studies Association will
held its 26th Conference from May 27, through June 2nd, 2001, in St.
Martin. The theme of the Conference is "The Emerging Caribbean:
Directions and Purpose for the 21st Century." Those interested in
attending, submitting proposals for panels and papers should contact
