Dear Colleague:
I write to invite your participation in a Stress Management
Workshop to be hosted by The Association of Caribbean Higher
Education
Administrators (ACHEA), Jamaica Chapter at the Mona Visitors’ Lodge
on Friday, April 7, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Registration
will commence at 8:30 a.m.
This
Workshop is being held further to popular request from participants
at the ACHEA 2005 Conference in Tobago, and will
address the theme,
" The Administrator's
Dilemna: Maintaining Health in Competitive and Demanding Work
Environments."
Issues
of focus will include:
1.
The concept and nature of stress and job stress;
2. The harmful effects that stress can have on the body;
3. Strategies that can be used to minimize the harmful effects
of stress on mind-body
functioning.
The Workshop will also provide a forum for much needed dialogue
or group discussion that should encourage the promotion of healthier
working relationship and environment which would redound to the
representative institutions. Highlights of the Workshop include:

To enable as wide participation as possible, registration
fees have been kept to the minimum of J$2,500.00 for ACHEA members
and J$3,000.00 for non-ACHEA members. Your paid
registration entitles you to Workshop material, Lunch and
2 Coffee Breaks. Please
