Tuition and Fees

TUITION

Tuition fees cover tuition and examination costs. Tuition and other University fees are paid annually or by semester and before registration.

Full-Time Undergraduate students Sponsored by Governments of Countries Countributing to UWI

There are different fee structures for those students applying for full time undergraduate studies, originating from different countries. The tuition and fees differ for studens who are from campus contibuting countries and those who are not.

The University of the West Indies has introduced a new credit based fee structure for undergraduate programmes which will offer students the advantage and flexibility of being able to pay in accordance with the number of credits chosen.

Tuition fees for nationals of contributing countries sponsored by their governments have been calculated at 20% of the 2006/2007 economic cost. Contributing governments pay the remaining 80% of the economic cost on behalf of each sponsored student. Fees for students from contributing countries, not sponsored by their governments, who are admitted under the quota, have been calculated at 33.3% of the economic cost.
