Welcome to the official website of the Academic Support/Disabilities Liaison Unit (ASDLU) of The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus. This Unit falls under the Office of the Deputy Principal. It was started in 2006 as a part of the University’s commitment to providing equal opportunities to all students.

The Academic Support/Disabilities Liaison Unit is looking for postgraduate students with exceptional writing and reading skills!
The ASDLU is seeking to recruit suitably qualified students to work as Readers and Writers to assist students with disabilities during their upcoming examinations.
Readers must be able to enunciate clearly, while writers must have a legible handwriting and be able to spell proficiently. Please note that readers and writers must be willing to undergo training. Interested persons can contact Ms. Jacqueline Huggins, Co-ordinator, Ms. Victoria John – Clerical Assistant or Ms. Gillian Redhead – Clerical Assistant at 662-2002 ext. 83921, 3923, 83866 or 84254 or complete the attached form and submit it to ASDLU’s office which is located South, The Alma Jordan Main Library (JFK Quadrangle).
