Facilities
at the Centre
The
facilities available at the Centre For Gender And Development
Studies include the Seminar Room and the Reading Room.
Seminar
Room

The
Seminar Room, which can accommodate up to 30 persons,
is used for lunchtime and occasional seminars, meetings
of the Women and Development Study Group, postgraduate
thesis seminars, workshops, training seminars, Centre
and guest lectures. A T.V. monitor, a VHS video and a
multimedia projector are available for the use of presenters.
Reading
Room

The
Reading Room is of growing importance to the interaction
between students, the public, associate and affiliate
staff. The Documentalist, Ms. Eaulin Blondel, is responsible
for the cataloguing of Reading Room material.
The
Reading Room houses documents and general literature
in the areas of gender, development, human rights, international
legal documents related to women and gender issues and
writings by women on women.
Ms.
Eaulin Blondel, The Documentalist or Rennette Ursha Feracho
is available for help in accessing research material.
Materials
available from the Reading Room include staff publications and Working
Papers by graduate students and other academics and
writers. Staff publications and Working Papers may also
be bought at the Centre after reading. The University
Bookshop also sells copies of these publications.
