Replacement of Elevator - Civil Eng. Blk. 2

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The existing ten (10) passenger (750 kg) Schindler elevator at the Civil Engineering Building (Block 2) was commissioned in 1985 and is now over 30 years old.  Due to its age, this elevator has frequent breakdowns and maintenance costs have significantly increased.  In light of the above tenders were invited to replace the current elevator with a new one.

In April 2015 a contract was awarded to RBP Lifts for the Supply and Installation of one (1) new Kone KMX Monospace (10) passenger (800 kg) elevator.
