Dr. Fox is an Associate Professor of Cultural Anthropology at Bridgewater State College, where she also Coordinates the Women's and Gender Studies Program. She is the founder and Executive Editor of the Online Open-access Journal of International Women's Studies. Dr. Fox has conducted extensive fieldwork in rural Jamaica, involving graduate and undergraduate students in her research. She was a Fulbright Scholar in both Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago in 2005 where she was affiliated with the Centre for Gender and Development Studies. She has recently been awarded a Senior Fulbright Specialist grant to return to Jamaica. Dr. Fox's specializations and areas of publication include women's international human rights, the cultural construction of gender, and the anthropology of activism and development.
