Donna Troka
Donna Jean Troka is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Graduate
Institute of the Liberal Arts (ILA) at Emory University
in Atlanta, Georgia. She also does faculty development
work for the University Advisory Council on Teaching (UACT)
at Emory. Her dissertation is an oral history of three
drag king troupes in the Midwest. She is a co-editor of
The Drag King Anthology, which was a finalist in the Lambda
Literary Awards and was given Honourable Mention for the
CLAGS 2004 Sylvia Rivera Award in Transgender Studies.
Presently she lives in Brooklyn, New York with her partner
Jes and their three cats Emily, Horace & Larry.
