Review of Results Process

A student who is dissatisfied with the results of his/her examination should report his/her dissatisfaction in writing to the Campus Registrar. Such a report must be made within two weeks of publication of results, and in the case of the Supplemental/Summer School or re-sit examinations within five days of the publication of results. There are two aspects of the review of results process which are as follows:

Advice on performance :  A student may request to go through his/her failed script with the Examiner
or
Remarking:    The student may choose to have his/her script(s) re-marked.

The consultation process should take a maximum of three (3) weeks, while the remarking can be longer depending on the course and location of the independent examiner. 

The both requests cannot be made on the same occasion, you may request the consultation first and after this process is completed you may then proceed with the remarking within 48 hours.  Please refer to Examination Regulations 141 – 148.

Re-markings

Payments for the re-marking service must be verified before your application is processed. The UWI St Augustine Campus accepts payments for this service via online credit card payment or through payments made to the Bursary.

You are required to include the payment receipt number and receipt date in your application submission.

Applicants who provide unverifiable receipt information are subject to immediate cancellation of the service request.

Suspicious financial transactions may be referred to the Fraud Squad, Trinidad and Tobago Police Service and/or the Financial Intelligence Unit of Trinidad and Tobago.

Cost: The remarking cost is TT$375.00 per course.

In order to complete your application for the consultation service, please enter 00000 in the receipt number field and today's date in the Date of Payment field.

REVIEW OF EXAMINATION RESULTS FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS

There are two aspects of the Review of Examination Results process:

  1. Advice on performance (Consultation)

Only students who have failed a course may request to go through their script or coursework with the Examiner.  The consultation process may take a maximum of three (3) weeks.

  1. Re-marking

Students may request to have their script or coursework re-marked and must pay the relevant fee to have this done.  This must be done no later than two days after the completion of the consultation process.

Both requests cannot be made simultaneously.  You may request the consultation first and after this process is completed you may then proceed with the remarking within 48 hours.  The right to report dissatisfaction and request a re-mark shall apply to both the coursework and written examinations. In the case of re-marking the mark of the new and independent Examiner shall be regarded as the final mark. (Refer to Regs 2.82-2.89)
