Anne Marion Osborne, Ph.D, M.Mus. B.Mus, L.R.A.M.,
G.R.A.M., A.R.C.M., A.R.C.O.
Dr. Osborne is Lecturer and Coordinator of the music programmes
at the Centre for Creative and Festival Arts, The University
of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. She was
instrumental in the design of the Graded Examinations in Solo
Steelpan Performance, the first of its kind to tailor to the
needs of the indigenous pan musician. At present, Dr. Osborne
is conducting a survey on the "Use of Multi-Cultural Concepts
in Music Classes at Schools in Trinidad," and examining local
and regional compositions for inclusion as set works for the
Caribbean Council of Examinations (CXC) music examinations (1998).
Dani Lyndersay, Ph.D, M.A., R.A.D.A. (London)
Dr. Lyndersay is Lecturer and Coordinator of the Practitioner's
Certificate in Drama/Theatre in Education offered at the Centre
for Creative and Festival Arts, The University of the West Indies,
St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. One of her major contributions
to the Centre is in the establishment of the Arts-in-Action unit
which focusses on developing and delivering interactive programmes
for different age groups on a multitude of social issues. To
date over 25,000 participants have benefited from this programme.
Dr. Lyndersay's other skills and interests include make-up, set
and costume design, and acting.
Kenwyn Crichlow, BFA, Painter
Mr. Crichlow is Lecturer and Coordinator of the Visual Arts programmes
offered at the Centre for Creative and Festival Arts Arts, The
University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago.
A practicing artist, his latest exhibition (March 1997) was entitled "Forces:
Outer Movement, Inward Tensions " . This combination of practicing
artist and educator is a particular strength of the Visual Arts
unit.
Rawle Gibbons, BA, M.Phil (UWI)
Mr. Gibbons is Head of the Centre for Creative and Festival Arts,
The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and
Tobago. He is also a theatre director, playwright, researcher
and teacher. He has recently published No Surrender: A Biography
of the Growling Tiger. His second book, a compilation of musical
plays A Calypso Trilogy is due for publication in 1997. Mr. Gibbons
is engaged in research into the indigenous culture of Trinidad
and Tobago.
