David Assing, Part - Time Language Tutor - French

My twenty years (and they continue) in teaching have provided me with many experiences in my career. At St. Joseph’s Convent, POS, I teach French to all the classes from Form 1 to Upper 6. My specialty is the language and not the literature. At the CLL, I tend to work with the beginners. But I have also had classes up to the Intermediate level. I have been at the CLL since 1998. For many years I also worked at the Alliance Française of Trinidad and Tobago. I am a former president and still an active member of the French Teachers’ Association of Trinidad and Tobago. I take pleasure in working with adult learners. Whatever the level, it is essential to speak the target language with students as well as be prepared for my classes.
