Mariette Cooper, Part - Time Language Tutor - Spanish
I hold a first degree in Spanish with a minor in Linguistics from the University of the West Indies. After having taught at the secondary school level, I became interested in second language acquisition. This interest developed and I later went on to pursue a Masters in the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language at the University of Alcalá, Madrid, Spain. I am particularly interested in Spanish language acquisition in Caribbean Creole societies, foreign language acquisition in the adolescent learner and music in the Spanish language classroom
