Participants with full registration will have free access to all conference
activities with the exception of the Dinner & Readings with George
Lamming and Earl Lovelace at Crews Inn. The cost of the dinner & readings
is $TT175 or $US 30.
DROP IN RATE
For persons who do not wish to attend the full conference, a drop-in rate
of $75TT per day or US $12 is applicable.
Caribbean culture proclaims the epic journey
of diverse peoples across space and time. The unique culture that is emerging
out of the interface among the various traditions reflects, and yet is
greater than, the sum of its parts. Its wealth and complexities are globally
recognized, contested and celebrated. A Caribbean canon has evolved out
of the interface among the traditions of the region, transcending national,
geographical and ethnic boundaries. The canon which validates the emergent
culture and endorses its identity, encompasses dimensions of

The conference will provide a forum for scholars and practitioners to discuss
the cross cultural experience, its challenges and opportunities as well
as the various dimensions of the canon that are evolving out of this
experience. Issues related to creative expression, literature, education,
religion, ethnicity, management, law, and indigenous resources are some
of the areas that will provide topics for discussion.
The presentations can be in any of the following
format:
· Formal Paper Presentation using any medium
· Poster Session, Exhibition, Round table
· Performance, Workshop, Panel Discussion
