SPAN 1002 Spanish Language 1B

Pre-requisites: SPAN 1001

This course complements SPAN 1001 by placing greater emphasis on the expression of abstract and logical relations. This course also seeks to broaden the students’ range of lexical and syntactic choices. The broad thematic area of SPAN 1002 is Spanish America. Students are exposed to this reality through literature, scholarly articles, audio and visual materials and are expected to be able to discuss and write in Spanish about historical, political, social and cultural aspects of Spanish America and the Caribbean.
