Faculty Mission and Vision
Mission
The Faculty will engage in teaching, research, outreach, and creative production in the humanities and education, in
an environment in which individuals can develop the human values, linguistic competence, and professional skills
and
abilities that are relevant to the needs of the region.
Vision
An internationally recognized and respected Caribbean centre for excellence in the development of the peoples of the
region through academic programmes and activities in the humanities and education.
Programmes Overview
With an approximate 7 to 1 student-to-faculty ratio, FHE emphasises close interaction with faculty. Our programmes
are
designed to achieve balance between depth of knowledge acquired through specialisation and breadth of knowledge
gained
through exploration.
Undergraduate
At undergraduate level, there are programmes in single areas of interest and whole
programmes hosted jointly by the Schools/Units/Centres in the Faculty. The
undergraduate handbook as well as
programme guides are available for download.
You can also visit FHE's student's page for further
information. Whole programmes and individual courses are available for study on-campus, off-campus and
in flexible learning modes.

Postgraduate and doctoral level coursework and research programmes are available in many fields and are run through
the
School of Graduate Studies and Research (our
