Our Head of Department, Prof Valerie Youssef, welcomes you to Liberal Arts! We offer a choice of vibrant and relevant programmes. Our Department is a multifaceted one, comprising five academic Sections: Communication Studies, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Literatures in English and Modern Languages.
Our academic staff members are actively engaged in course delivery, using varied teaching strategies and methods, and are involved in a wide range of research interests (visit our Bookshelf below). You can depend on our academic and administrative staff to assist and guide you in your academic career. Our languages (spread across Linguistics and Modern Languages) include French, Hindi, Portuguese and Spanish in Modern Languages and English, French Creole (Patois/Kwéyòl) and T&T Sign Language in Linguistics. Check out our student clubs and organisations.
