A.   Agribusiness Programme

  1. The BSc Agribusiness Management (Revised 2005/06)

B.  The Human Ecology Programme

Effective 2005/2006, the Department introduced a new Human Ecology Programme which includes three (3) new Majors, one (1) Minor and two (2) Undergraduate degrees as outlined below:

  1. Majors:
    1. Family and Consumer Sciences
    2. Nutritional Sciences
    3. Foods and Foodservice Systems Management
  2. Minor: Sports Nutrition
  3. B.Sc. Human Nutrition and Dietetics- Special Option
  4. B.Sc. Human Ecology Degree as follows:

Either

  1. Double Major comprising Family and Consumer Sciences plus Nutritional Sciences or Foods and Foodservice Systems Management or other approved Majors relevant to the Degree.
    Or
  2. Major in Family and Consumer Sciences and a Minor in Sports Nutrition and/or other approved Minors relevant to the Degree.
  3. Diploma in Institutional and Community Dietetics and Nutrition.

The BSc Human Ecology degree (with options in Nutrition and Dietetics and Consumer Sciences) was phased out in 2006-2007.

C.  The Agricultural Extension Programme

  1. The Minor in Communication and Extension
  2. The Diploma in Agricultural Extension

D.   Postgraduate Programmes

The Department offers:

  1. M.Sc in Agricultural Economics
  2. M.Sc. in Marketing and Agribusiness
  3. M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension and Agricultural Economics.
