Year 2 and Year 3 participants of the FIRST Management Challenge addressed the Republic Bank's Power to Make A Difference Program. The challenge allowed for the generation of fresh ideas where the students were able to add value now, even before they graduate.

The challenge was a unique opportunity to make considerable input into an existing real world scenario. They were able to get an inside look into corporate world, a chance to be an influencer and an invaluable opportunity to effect meaningful change.

The focus of the challenge was to match theory to business reality with the application of skills - research, innovation, creation of competitive advantage and multidiscipline rethinking, into the context of real world business challenges.

Republic Bank definitely benefited from the students' efforts. Additionally, the work put into their high quality presentations and their recommendations generated from their research over the course of one month was excellent.

The Department of Management Studies congratulate all students who participated (6 teams) and their mentors who put in the time and energy to coach their teams.

A job VERY well done!

Congratulations to The UWI/RBL Management Challenge 1st Place Winners!
