The Department of Chemistry's Research, Outreach, Consulting and Analytical Services (ROCAS) initiative is to leverage the wealth of expertise, instrumentation and infrastructure within the Department to provide real-world solutions geared towards academia and industry in areas including but not limited to environment, alternative energy sources, as well as agriculture and food security.

We are also interested in exploring how the Department can enhance the training and preparation of our graduates for work in the industrial sector through for example, student internships, class visits, guest lectures, and joint research projects. The scope of our activities includes workshops and short courses to enhance knowledge in areas of Chemistry such as advanced analytical techniques as well as the pursuit of external funding for research on problems of national and regional importance.

You may contact Dr. Leonette Cox at or the Department of Chemistry office to schedule a telephone, virtual, or face-to-face meeting.
