Q. How do I configure my laptop for Wireless Internet Access?
A. Wireless Internet Access is available for all members of staff at the St. Augustine Campus. The Student Wireless Network requires an identification logon for access. As a member of staff you are required to request a Wireless Internet Logon Account. This can be done as an email request from your staff email or you may come into C.I.T.S. to have your laptop configured. Click here to download the Student Wireless Network Configuration Guide.
Q. How can I purchase a Dell Laptop?
A. Members of staff can purchase a Dell laptop or desktop directly from Dell Trinidad. C.I.T.S. may have pre-configured laptops in stock and these can be purchased via payment at the Bursary. Otherwise, you can configure a computer by going directly to Dell Trinidad and emailing this configuration to pcorders@sta.uwi.edu. You will then be contacted with an updated quotation which can be paid for at the Bursary. Your computer will be ordered and will be shipped to Campus I.T. Services within 4 - 6 weeks.
Q. How can the information on my Department or Faculty website be updated?
A. As of August 2005, websites designed by the webteam of the St. Augustine Campus is maintained through a content management solution (CMS). Training on the use of this software is provided for members of staff by C.I.T.S. To find out more about the CMS or to get your existing site compatible with the CMS, you can contact the webmaster at extension 2581/2580 or email at webmaster@sta.uwi.edu
