Staff should be mindful that whenever there is a change in their taxable position, they should do an updated Tax Declaration   Form (TD1). In some instances the prior approval of the Board of Inland Revenue may be required. The onus is on Staff Members to complete this form, get the necessary approval and file same with the payroll section in the Bursary, so that their correct PAYE would be deducted.

It should be noted that the maximum pension allowance that can be claimed have been increased to $30,000 from January 1 2009. The previous maximum was $25,000.
