SENIOR PROJECT OFFICER (TECHNICAL)
As delegated by the Project Director, the Senior Project Officer – Technical will be responsible for the preparation, development and management of projects for the Vice Chancellery, University of the West Indies, and the Open Campus (Principal, Open Campus) relative to infrastructural and institutional development in accordance with the policies and priorities defined by the University of the West Indies.
Responsibilities of the Senior Project Officer involve collaborating with executive management, academics, administrators of the UWI and professionals as well as the wider community relative to the development and preparation of project briefs and their implementation, in accordance with the parameters proposed for time, cost, quality and scope. The Senior Project Officer is expected to support the Project Office’s role as a coordinating and implementing entity by undertaking assignments at the request of the Director, in response to the prevailing University priorities.
SKILLS AND SPECIALISED TRAINING
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of eight (8) years experience in the construction industry.Minimum of five (5) years in a managerial position.Experience in managing construction projects.
