CAPS presents Safe Space Orientation

The Counselling and Psychological Service (CAPS) presents Safe Space – a weekly opportunity to discuss matters of sexuality, gender identity and relationships and other things.

All are welcome, whether you are a member or ally of the LGBTQ community.

Be there at the Safe Space Orientation on September 12 and 15 from 5 to 6pm at the Student Activity Centre (SAC), Study Room 2 (ground floor).

Bring a friend.

Interested persons can email or for more details.

Please note: If you cannot attend either of the orientation sessions but still wish to register for the semester, email us no later than September 15 to reserve your space.

About Safe Space

Safe Space is a dedicated initiative for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer or questioning (LGBTQ) concerns. Safe Space is committed to inclusivity in order to facilitate open dialogue on any and all LGBTQ matters. Specifically, both members and allies of the LGBTQ community are welcome.

Weekly group meetings are held to facilitate ongoing discussions on various concerns generated by each particular group. Past topics include: negotiating different sexualities within our Caribbean context; understanding the fluidity of gender identity; dating and relationship dynamics; relationships with family and peers; sex; self-esteem; body image; religion.
