School of Education and NGC Bocas Lit Fest - Louder Than A Bomb Screening

The School of Education Library in collaboration with The 2 Cents Movement and NGC Bocas Literary Festival present a screening of Louder than A Bomb – a look at the largest youth poetry slam in the world.

Check out this documentary on November 13 from 6 to 8pm at the School of Education Auditorium.  

The screening is open to educators, students, and the public. It is part of a series of events put on by The 2 Cents Movement and NGC Bocas Literary Festival geared towards strengthening Youth outreach and empowerment.

About the Film

The film looks at the largest youth poetry slam in the world and conveys the journey of Nate Marshall, star of the documentary, then youth poetry slam participant and now National Programs Director at Young Chicago Authors. Mr. Marshall will be present to discuss the film. In addition to the Spoken Word journey of Mr. Marshall, the film will highlight “best practices” and educational approaches being successfully undertaken by the Louder Than A Bomb Programme to improve Arts Education. For more, please visit http://www.louderthanabombfilm.com/
