Guild Council Nominations Extended - Apply Now

The Call for Nominations for the Student Guild Council has been extended for the following positions:

  • Faculty of Engineering Representative 
  • Part-time and Evening Representative 
  • Publications Committee Chairperson 

Nominations will be open for the following periods:

  • February 8 | until 7pm
  • February 9 from 9am to noon

Nomination forms can be collected from and submitted to the Guild of Students Administrative Office, upstairs the Student Activity Centre (SAC).

Nomination Criteria

ALL interested candidates MUST meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a properly registered student
  • Must be FULLY financially cleared consistent with the University’s regulations
  • Must not have any internal university disciplinary matters pending
  • Must have at minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 at the undergraduate level and be in good academic standing at the graduate level

Nominees’ Meeting (Mandatory)

All persons whose names are submitted to be considered for these positions must attend a mandatory meeting this Friday, February 9 at 1pm at the Guild Conference Room, Student Activity Centre (SAC).

Hear from your nominees

All students are invited to hear what your nominees’ platforms and ideas at the General Forum which takes place on March 5 at 4pm at the Student Activity Centre (SAC).

Halls of Residence Forums for students on hall will be held at 6pm as follows:

  • February 26 | Milner Hall 
  • February 27 | Joyce Gibson Innis Hall
  • February 28 | Trinity Hall
  • March 1 | Canada Hall
  • March 2 | Sir Arthur Lewis Hall

Save the date for General Elections on Thursday March 8 from 8am to 8pm.
