About WSIS Forum 2018

The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2018 is the world's largest annual gathering of the ‘ICT for development’ community. The forum is organized by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) in Geneva, Switzerland, and serves as a key platform for discussing the role of ICTs as a means of implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During WSIS 2018, a hackathon on ICTs for SDGs, focusing on SDG#2 End Hunger, will be held. #HackAgainstHunger is an effort by ITU and FAO to find innovative solutions to address challenges around food and agriculture. This includes Hackathons happening in three different regions (Europe/Africa/Caribbean).
