Donate to the DCFA Theatre Hall Fund using Salary Deduction Option

The UWI presents the 3rd instalment of the Classic Concert series honouring national legend and father of soca, the late Garfield Blackman with The Journey – From Lord Shorty to Ras Shorty I. All proceeds will be donated to the Department of Creative and Festival Arts (DCFA) Theatre Hall Fund.

Tickets cost $500TT for all patrons and will be sold at:

  • Queens Hall Box Office
  • The UWI Bursary
  • The Department of Creative and Festival Arts
  • ROYTEC - South Campus

 The concert takes place March 11 at 6pm at Queen's Hall. Featured performers including Rikki Jai, Gypsy, Explainer, Olatunji and of course the Blackman family – Nehilet, Isaac, Eldon, Abby, Sheldon Blackman will pay tribute by performing a Ras Shorty I classic and a song of their own.
