Academic Quality Assurance Committee

The Academic Quality Assurance Committee (AQAC) is a sub-committee of the Academic Boards of each Campus. The Academic Board may approve recommendations from AQAC or refer them to the Board for Undergraduate Studies (BUS). AQAC is chaired by the Deputy Principal and its membership consists of representatives of Faculties, personnel from the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, quality assurance personnel and related administrators who, inter alia, serve to:

  1. Review proposals for new courses and programmes;
  2. Recommend improvements to new courses and programmes;
  3. Recommend course and programme proposals to Academic Board or BUS;
  4. Receive and discuss reports on follow-up actions taken by academic departments on recommendations of Quality Assurance Review Teams.
