Welcome Message

How do I attend?

• A Reply Form, attached to your invitation letter from the Campus Registrar, was included in your Acceptance package.  You must complete that form, detach it and return it to:

              The Assistant Registrar
              Student Affairs (Admissions)
              UWI St. Augustine Campus
              Trinidad & Tobago

  No later than September 1, 2009

   

   

  What do I wear?

  The Matriculation Ceremony is a formal one and New Students to be presented are required to wear formal dress.

              LADIES:            White Blouse and black skirts/trousers
              MEN:                White shirt and tie/shirt-jac, black trousers
                                     
  OTHER COLOURS ARE NOT PERMITTED

  We ask that you comply with these requirements.

   

  Invitations / Guests

  Because of limited accommodation, you can invite only ONE (1) person as your guest to attend the Matriculation Ceremony. 

  We regret that we are unable to accede to requests for additional invitations.

   

  Day of the Ceremony

  Thursday September 17, 2009
  JFK Quadrangle

  Assembling for the Ceremony

  1. You should assemble along Walkway South of the Natural Sciences Building [Near Surveying & Land Information Dept. Building]

  Faculty of at 3.30 p.m.

  1. You will be met by Ushers who will group you by Faculty in preparation for the procession into the JFK Quadrangle.
  2. Look for the signs with the name of your Faculty and remain in that area until the procession enters the JFK Quadrangle
  3. Guests are asked to be seated by 4.15 p.m.

   

  You are required to stay in place for the entire ceremony. Any change will disrupt the smooth flow of the proceedings.

  Students who arrive after the ceremony has begun will not be allowed to participate in the Ceremony.  Please pay particular attention to this advice and be guided accordingly.
