Training and Workshops

In addition to graduate supervision, UWI-based SEDU members teach a final year undergraduate elective on Resource and Environmental Economics in the Department of Economics, University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.

In 2003, SEDU members also facilitated five(5) short training workshops as follows:

January 2003 - Economic Policy Instruments for Environmental Management for the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ);

April 2003 - Environmental Economics for regional economists and policy-makers;

April, July and October, 2003 - Introduction to Environmental Economics for civil society representatives in Trinidad, Jamaica and the OECS (held in Grenada), respectively;

November 2003
• The sustainable tourism component of an OAS Workshop on Information for Decision-making on Sustainable Development; and
• Workshop for tourism stakeholders in Grenada on the potential impacts of climate change on the Caribbean tourism sector
