Healthcare Solutions through innovative technology
The University of the West Indies telehealth programme has begun to make a difference to sick children and health care professionals in the country, by providing sub-specialty health care through innovative technology.
The Two-Way Live Interactive Videoconferencing consultations between the Faculty of Medical Sciences, The University of the West Indies and the Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, Canada, will bring cost-effective, timely solutions to sick children across Trinidad and Tobago.
The UWI telehealth link received one-time funding through the Herbie Fund, Sick Kids Foundation. The UWI telehealth link is supported by Atlantic for Children, an Atlantic LNG sponsored programme for the benefit of children.
