The UWI 75th Anniversary Cross Campus T20 Cricket Tournament

POW! Former West Indies Captain and batsman Daren Ganga lets it rip on September 30 at The UWI 75th Anniversary Cross Campus T20 Cricket Tournament. St Augustine and Global Campus teams took part in simultaneous matches at the campus’s Sir Frank Worrell Cricket Grounds and The UWI SPEC South Field. The event was one of several held throughout this year to commemorate the establishment of The University of the West Indies in 1948. Players included not only well- known cricketers such as under-19 captain Shalini Samaroo, and Anisa Mohammed, but also athletes such as Jehue Gordon, sprinter Michelle Lee- Alves, and national gymnast Thema Williams. UWI St Augustine Deputy Principal Professor Indar Ramnarine also played for the home team.
