“For most of my career I have had opportunities to leave UWI and to continue my work at other universities. Some of my reasons for remaining here at UWI are my interest in doing research that supports the solution of Caribbean problems; the fact that UWI has been very supportive of my work; and that I continue to encounter some very bright and intellectually curious students who truly value education…I would like to see within The University a unit that is internationally recognized as the premier research facility on matters of crime and security in the developing world.”
