“One of my favourite memories is that of pushing a wheel barrow peddling crabs in the Marabella market in south Trinidad. I learned a significant number of life skills there. My experiences in life have taught me that nothing is achieved without hard work and persistence. I would like to leave behind this tried and proven method for success. I chose to return to UWI after graduating with a PhD in Economics from Cambridge University (UK) because this is the top academic institution in the region. It is the place in the Caribbean where the best young minds come to learn.”
