Your Voice Matters<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Course Experience Review (CER) is your opportunity to share honest feedback about your learning experience at UWI. Every semester, your responses help lecturers understand what is working well and what could be improved \u2014 directly shaping the quality of teaching for you and future students.<\/p>\n

The CER is completed entirely online, on any device, at any time during the review period. Look out for an invitation in your UWI student email.<\/p>\n

How It Works<\/h2>\n

  • The CER is administered through Qualtrics<\/li>\n
  • You will receive an email invitation to your UWI student email address when the review period opens<\/li>\n
  • You can also access the CER directly through myeLearning \u2014 look for the course CER0000 when the review period is open<\/li>\n
  • The survey takes approximately 5\u201310 minutes to complete<\/li>\n
  • Complete both the Learning Experience and Course Design sections of the survey per course<\/li>\n
  • You can complete it on your phone, tablet or computer<\/li>\n

    Frequently Asked Questions<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Is my feedback really anonymous?<\/em> <\/strong>Yes. Your responses are submitted through Qualtrics and lecturers have no access to any identifying information. They receive only a summary report with aggregated scores and unattributed written comments.<\/p>\n

    Does my feedback actually make a difference?<\/em><\/strong> Yes \u2014 when lecturers receive their reports, they are encouraged to reflect on the results and make changes to their teaching and course design. Your feedback is most effective when it is specific, honest, and constructive. You can look out for the annual CER Snapshot, a short video summary of all your peers’ feedback.<\/p>\n

    What happens to my responses?<\/em><\/strong> Your individual responses are never shared with your lecturer. Summary reports are provided to the lecturer, Head of Department, and Faculty Dean. The CER administrator has access to data identifiers, which is only required should your feedback be threatening.<\/p>\n

    What if I have nothing negative to say?<\/em><\/strong> That is perfectly fine. Positive feedback is equally valuable \u2014 it tells lecturers what is working well and should be continued.     • Be specific.<\/strong> “The weekly quizzes helped me keep up with the material” is more useful than “I liked the course”<\/li>\n
    • Be constructive.<\/strong> If something did not work for you, suggest what might have worked better<\/li>\n
    • Be honest.<\/strong> Your candid experience is more valuable than what you think the lecturer wants to hear<\/li>\n

      With the CER, all of your feedback can now be given online...no more pencils and paper, everything is done online.<\/p>

      What does this mean for you?...<\/p>

      1. Your feedback can be completed on any mobile device or computer.<\/p>

      2. With no handwriting, your anonymity is further guaranteed. Lecturers and Instructors do not have access to any identifying information.<\/p>
