What is Peer Observation and Feedback?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Peer Observation can be defined as a reciprocal process where colleagues consensually observe each other’s teaching and provide different forms of feedback to encourage awareness and enhance individual teaching practice. Feedback is given orally and\/or written, and a standard protocol or form can be used to guide the work (Sundest & Sandvoll, 2022).<\/span><\/p>\n

Peer Observation is known as a form of classroom observation that allows teachers to mutually observe their peer’s teaching for specific purposes (Nguyen, 2023).<\/span><\/p>\n

Traditionally, peer observation of teaching is generally a process whereby one educator observes a colleague teaching to facilitate reflection and discussion to aid the improvement of student learning (Bennet & Barp, 2008).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ ul_line_height=”2em” header_2_line_height=”1.7em” background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” global_colors_info=”{}”]\n

  • Enhance teaching excellence through the establishment and support of collaborative peer observation and feedback<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Promote critical and reflective dialogue about professional practice<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Please note: The framework is not intended to provide a measure or evaluation of teaching quality.\u00a0 Instead, its value is rooted in the critical reflective activity around teaching practice and the ideas, exchange and transformation that can take place as a result of the PO exchange.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    Why use Peer Observation & Feedback<\/strong><\/h3>\n
