The Sociology Unit of the Department of Behavioural Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of the West Indies is pleased to announce it will be holding a Conference on Poverty on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st  October ,2011 at the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) Auditorium.

The conference provides a space for discussion, dialogue and recommendations on issues of poverty, from perspectives that include its alleviation and eradication.
