I’m proud to have taken part in the first ever Chinese Bridge competition in Trinidad and Tobago and to have placed 3rd. Preparation for the competition was rigorous but it helped me greatly in the long run. Mentorship by two of the Chinese instructors helped me improve a lot on my Chinese and Tai Chi skills. I will always remember the Chinese Bridge competition as a great experience.
I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to participate in the competition and to represent Trinidad and Tobago in the Chinese Bridge Summer Camp in China. I would recommend that all Chinese language students participate in this competition. Not only does it test and improve your language and public speaking skills, it is a wonderful opportunity to win a chance to visit China and have first-hand experience of Chinese culture.
