The Confucius Institute at The UWI, St. Augustine Campus is a non-profit educational institution for Mandarin Chinese language teaching and the promotion of Chinese culture. It is operated in partnership with the Chinese International Education Foundation and China Agricultural University (CAU). Officially launched on October 23rd 2013, it is the first institute of its kind in Trinidad and Tobago, and the second in the Caribbean region.<\/p>\n
