
This course investigates and evaluates classical and contemporary approaches to leadership theory, focusing on leadership at supervisory, middle and senior management level. There will be a strong emphasis on applying the theory to leadership in practice and with a view of enhancing leadership performance potential for leadership and developing leadership in others. The course will provide students with practical insights into leadership, how leadership skills can be developed, and optimum environments created for effective e leadership and performance. This course requires students to engage with, and subsequently reflect upon and assess, their own learning and development in an ongoing manner. Accordingly, students must demonstrate commitment to developing as a leader.
