The award recognises her contributions to molecular genetics, virology and infectious disease research. This year&#8217;s gala was themed &#8220;The Power of Possibility: Celebrating Five Years of Women Who Inspire Change,&#8221; and Prof. Carrington was honoured alongside marine scientist Dr Diva Amon and human rights advocate Roberta Clarke. The IWFTT awards recognise women whose achievements have created lasting change locally, regionally and internationally.
