Department of Geography

I went to Trinity College East before attending the UWI and graduated in 2017 majoring in Geography and minoring in Environment and Natural Resource Management and Communication studies. 

I am now pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Journalism at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.  As a Geographer, with a passion for the environment and communications, I intend to pursue environmental journalism and photography as a career.

Kaaria's advice for students in secondary school: Pursue a subject you enjoy doing, and not something just because you think you need it for a certain career. In doing something you enjoy, something that you are passionate about, you will find a way to incorporate it into a career and, if your passion is geography, then you are opening up yourself to a myriad of career paths, from coastal engineering to environmental journalism or even climatology.
