Programme Overview<\/h4>\n

The Certificate in Human Ecology is a multidisciplinary 1-year programme that exposes students to a basic understanding of the areas of Human Ecology. Students pursuing this programme can matriculate into BSc programs in the areas of Human Ecology, obtaining exemptions in specific courses.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

PROGRAMME GOAL <\/strong>
This certificate has been designed to improve the preparedness of students wishing to pursue further studies in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science, Food Service and Nutritional Sciences in the Faculty of Food and Agriculture by providing training that sets a solid foundation for the pursuance of the relevant degrees at the UWI. It also provides an entry point for persons desirous of matriculating for degree programmes or those contemplating changing careers paths.<\/p>\n

GRADUATE CAREER PATHS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Graduates of BSc and Higher degrees in nutrition and dietetics, become teaches in related subjects at Secondary Schools, are involved in academia and research, and are also entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
