International Programmes

Festival Arts of Trinidad and Tobago

This two to three-week programme (July-August) is primarily designed to introduce people from non-Caribbean countries to the culture of Trinidad and Tobago. Participants, local or foreign, are exposed to Caribbean history, folklore, religion, steelband and Carnival, as well as field trips to cultural sites, lectures and workshops.

Participants have included students from universities from abroad. The programme is designed to accommodate participants' course requirements, for example cultural interests and time periods.

Participants are required to keep logs and present projects at the end of the programme in order to obtain a Certificate of Participation or course credits.
