LING 2820 Structure and Usage of Caribbean Sign Language II (2)

Pre-requisite: LING 2819

This course is aimed at enhancing the receptive and expressive sign language skills of students. It will also introduce them to more advanced aspects of the cherology, morphology and syntax, particularly nonmanual behaviours and classifiers of a Caribbean sign language. The students will learn how to express abstract concepts in the sign language.


Method of Instruction: 2 lectures and 2 tutorials per week

Assessment: 50% in-course assessment, 50% final examination

This course is part of the Diploma in Caribbean Sign Language Interpreting and the Minor in Caribbean Sign Language, and is normally offered in Semester 2.
