MDSC 1003 Introduction to Audiology (1)

This course is intended to impart a basic understanding of the normal auditory system, hearing loss and its causes, diagnosis and management. It is also intended to provide basic insight into the roles of various healthcare workers in this country, and abroad, in the management of hearing loss. This will provide the student with the necessary background to deal effectively with persons who are hearing impaired and to recognise a possible hearing loss in their clients.
