MID-YEAR COURSE OFFERINGS (UNDERGRADUATE)
Each Mid-Year Programme, a limited number of useful courses are offered from among the following disciplines: English Language Foundation Unit Courses, Linguistics and Modern Languages. The following courses are compulsory courses of the Diploma in Caribbean Sign Language Interpreting and PG Dip TESOL programmes. These courses are ONLY offered during the Mid-Year Programme/Semester III. Students are therefore NOT required to pay for these courses:
- LING 3909 The Profession of Interpreting
- LING 3910 The Practice of Sign Language Interpreting
- LING 5104 Teaching Practicum
Admission Requirements: Students currently enrolled as UWI students on all campuses who have the necessary prerequisites and UWI students on official leave of absence who have the necessary prerequisites may enrol. External students will be individually evaluated for admission to courses of their choice.
Registration is conducted from May to June at the Faculty of Humanities and Education, UWI, St. Augustine (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM on any week day during a specified period). A non-refundable registration fee of is payable upon submission of application forms. In addition to tuition fees, external students are required to pay University charges for insurance, ID card, and Guild Fees.
