This programme provides the leading regional qualification in sign language interpreting. It is aimed at Deaf and hearing students who wish to enter this profession or to develop their skills and qualifications in a field in which they already have experience.<\/p>\n

Students develop practical skills in Trinidad and Tobago Sign Language and American Sign Language, and training in interpreting and translation between these languages and Caribbean Creoles and English.<\/p>\n

        Graduates have been employed through the Ministry of Education\u2019s Student Support Services Division, established their own interpreting businesses, done work as consultants to agencies providing access to Deaf communities, and pursued careers in research.<\/p>\n
