I am a committed health care specialist and current public health practitioner driven to contribute to nation building through direction of programmed activities that increases the resiliency of the health system in order to optimise health care delivery for health protection and medical treatment in emergency and disaster situations.
At the Ministry of Health and Wellness in Jamaica I am the Senior Director, Emergency, Disaster Management and Special Services, National Health Disaster Coordinator, Consultant Emergency Physician, Ministry of Health & Wellness Climate Change Focal Point and Ministry of Health & Wellness – Smart Focal Point.
I have a Bachelors in Medicine & Surgery (M.B.B.S.) from the University of the West Indies (1997); a Doctor of Medicine (D.M.) – Emergency Medicine, University of the West Indies (2003) and a Masters in Public Health (MPH), Disaster Management.
